Processing 2,000+ submissions monthly across multiple product lines including commercial property, GL, auto, and specialty coverages. 40+ underwriters across 6 regional offices operating with decentralized structure and local market expertise. Fast-growing national platform built through acquisition of regional MGAs with strong local presence but struggling to maintain operational efficiency at scale. The carrier had a 3-week backlog of unprocessed submissions. Two full-time staff did nothing but manually key data from applications into the policy management system. Document formats varied wildly - broker applications, carrier-specific forms, ACORD forms, handwritten supplements, and scanned historical documents.

Previous attempts with generic OCR software failed because insurance documents are too complex. Loss runs have inconsistent formats across carriers. Applications include checkboxes, tables, and narrative sections that standard extraction can't handle. The carrier needed accuracy that mattered - extraction errors created E&O exposure.
